In this Frostpunk playthrough I’m playing the Arks scenario which is unlocked after the main campaign is completed.
In this episode:
I need to save the seeds! I’ve got a limited workforce of just engineers and start with 1 automaton so I’ll have to be selective on where people work. I gotta get automatons built pretty fast so the city can be fully automated. There is also a storm rolling in.

In an ultimately frozen world, people develop steam-powered technology to oppose the overwhelming cold. The city ruler has to manage both the inhabitants and the infrastructure the citizens live in. Leader’s tactical skills face challenges, frequently questioning morality and the basic foundation of what we consider an organized society. Here optimization and resource management often clash with empathy and thoughtful decision-making. While city and society management consume most of the ruler’s time, at some point exploration of outside world is necessary to understand its history and present state.
What decisions will you make so the society can survive? What will you do when pushed to the limits?

‘We’ve been chosen to safeguard a priceless treasure – the seeds and seedlings of plants from all over the world. They’ve been deposited in Seedling Arks to stop them from freezing, but it falls to us to build a city to protect these precious buildings until the winter ends, however long that may be. The only way to do this is with automatons. We’ll ensure the green earth is reborn – even if we aren’t there to witness it.’
